# Mr C R. N. Mackie presided over the monthly meeting of the Linwood School Committee. The headmaster, Mr Rodger, reported that the health of the scholars had been excellent, and the attendance well up to the average roll number. Mr Rodger reported on the paucity of sports material, and it was decided tt) purchase new pads and gloves for the boys' cricket team and rounder bats for the girls. It was also decided to make arrangements for swimming instruction during the summer months. Mr Rodger also reported that the school gardens had been taken in hand and good results could be expected.
