Mrs A. I. Fraer, who has interested herself for some years in the proposal to establish a crematorium at Christchurch, recently wrote to the Town Clerk of Dunedin (Mr Q. A. Lewin) for information regarding the crematorium in that city, Mr Lewin, in his reply, states that for the year ended March 31, 1933, the number of cremations was 27, and of this number three were from Christchurch. For the same period the receipts from the crematorium amounted to £153 6s, and the expenditure was £6O 10s 6d,
