PIGEON RACING.
CHRISTCHURCH SOCIETY. The members of the Christchurch Kacinf? Pigeon Society conducted the first of a series cf young-bird races from Culverden on Saturday A strong north-west wind was encountered splitting the birds up, and only six members timed in in race time. The winner was T. V. Cooke's Danraven, which flew tho 57 miles 2SO yards airline in 2hr 23Smin. The reiptctivo velocities were:— Yds a mm. T. V. Cooke's Thmravcn •- 7 °l R. A.
