The annual competition tor the Sherwood cups, open t« schools in the Amuri county, was held in the Waiau school baths on Wednesday, under ideal weather conditions. There was keen competition among the comt.etitors tram the Culverden and the Waiau schools, and several o£ the finishes Were very close. Ray Oldman (Waiau) vvai ihe winner oi the boys' cup, with 10 points, Gi Dal-. sell (Culverden.) being runner-up with 12 points, and J. Denton (Culverden), 11 point 3, in third place. The girh' cup was won by Edna Ole (Waiau) with 17 points, Jea;i Cochrane (Culverden). with 14 points, beinsj the runner-up. Mesßrs R. C. Bean and J. Crcighton officiated as judges.
