AIR FORCE COURSE.

USEFUL WORK DONE. The annual refresher coiirsc of No. 2 (Bombing) Squadron of the New Zealand Air Force will finish to-day, and the staff at Wigram Aerodrome will have Friday and Saturday to look over tho aircraft on the station and see that they aro in order for No. «> (Bombing) dquadron's course, wluca will begin next Monday. Tho present course has been most successful, a great deal ot useful work having been done. Altogether, officers of the squadron have spent more than 180 hours in the air. On Monday they spent tho day at Lake Ellesmere practising gunnery. Yesterday the squadron went to the lake to do its bombing practice. A particularly high standard ot : accuracy was attained. In addition to this work, a good deal of reconnaissance and ioiroation - flying has been done. There has been some squadron formation work; which provided Christehurch with the rather unusual sight of 12 aeroplanes m formation over the City. Camera obscura, practice and the usual wireless aim engine instruction have also been done. Squadron Leader G. L.. "J® I*' 1 *' man, who"is instructor to the Wellington Aero Club, is O.C. the Fquadron, and Flight Lieutenant M. \\. Buckley, N.Z.P.A.F., is adjutant. The commanding officer of No. 3 Squadron is Squadron Leador W. L. Harrison, and its adjutant is flight Lieutenant H. B. Burrell, N.Z.P.A.J? • The following officers will attend its course: Flight Lieutenants N. H. Barlow. K. W. J. Hall, and J. C. Mercer; Flying Officers W. G. Coull. G. barter J. R. Richardson. M. Wilkes, K. B Reynolds, A. D. Poulton, and -K. K. Henderson: Pilot Officers R. *• Roake, D. E. Grigg, and J. J. Buscji. The last two officers both learned to fly with the Canterbury Aero Club.
