SHOP WINDOW PRICES.
TO THE EDITOR OV THE PKESS. Sir, —I 'would esteem it a favour if you would inform mo as to a certain point, viz.. an article is displayed in a shop ■window marked at a certain price. Is the shopkeeper bound to haud over the article if a person tenders the amount of the price mark and demands the article?— Yours, etc. T. McKASKELL. Lennetts Junction. T)ecember 14: th, 1932. [The manager of a large retail firm in the Git\, to whom the foregoing letter was referred, stated that the article could not be demanded if it was shown that a genuine mistake had been made in the marking of the price. No honest person would demand an article in such circumstances. Certainly no reputable Arm would price its goods incorrectly for the purpose of misleading the public.!
