TO IHE EDITOR OS THE PRESS. yi r ,—l think it is high time that someone drew the attention of the. Kowai County Council to the shocking condition in which they maintain the portion of their road from Ashley Bridge to Waipara. 1 use' this road frequently through to Blenheim, and must sivy it is the woi-st kept portion on the stretch. Surely the councillors will wake up and do something. Thousands of pounds are being frittered ftwav on capping grass, etc., off country "roads and village streets. Why does not the Council endeavour to =enure some of' this ohonp -money and
labour, and lay down this stretch m bitumen, to the mutual benefit of thp Council's pocket and users of the roacl P —Yours, etc., , , ' . DISGUSTED. Blenheim, December 20th, 1932.
