CANTERBURY BRANCH HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the United Kingdom Manufacturers' and New Zealand Representatives' Association was held on Tuesday evening, Mr David Crozicr presiding over a good attendance of members. In outlining the activities of tho association during the past year, the chairman expressed pleasure tDat a visit had been made by the Dominion president, Mr L. Ashcroft Edwards, to Christehurch, when the opportunity was given him to address members of the branch. Unfortunately, owing to existing conditions, the association had been compelled to abandon its annual exhibition of English motor-cars and allied goods. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Chairman, Mr G. W, Tench; deputy-chairman, Mr I. Gunn; branch council, Messrs 8. D. Atkinson, R. 11. Hill. A. G. Holder, A. H. Haden, G. Lambert, G. J. Lanyon, E. Middleton, A. D, Tench, and H. Wooff; secretary, Mr H. A. Barrett; hon. auditor, Mr E. H. Hill. Enquiries were received from china manufacturers in England for agents in New Zealand. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr Crozier for his services as chairman for the past two years.
