j PLAZA THEATRE. "CANARIES SOMETIMES SING." "Canaries .Sometimes Sing," the picture at tlie 2iaza, Theatre this \v c, is a delightfully amusing British comedy, which shows Tom "Walb at his best. The characters aro Geoffrey Ljncs (Tom Walla), Anno Lynes, his Yi-uo -(Cathleen Neibitt), Ernest Melton (Athole Stewart), and Elma Helton (Yvonne Arnaud). Tom Walls is seen as a successful playwright living in the country. Atholo Stewart haa tlio part of an English gentleman, of the rather stupid type, but scrupulously honett. Lynes is brilliant in public, but does not like &he country. Mrs Melton had heen ' an adtress, and it 'was mainly through .her husband's honesty that she becamo his wife. So when the four spend a week-end together Mr Lynes is irresistibly attracted to Mrs Melton and Mr .Molton i 3 deceived by Mrs Lynes'o falsa charm Ernest in horrified to discover that lie has fallen in love with the wife of his ohlest friend, with whom he went through Eton and Oxford, while Geoffrey is delighted to think that he at last i.3 going to he rid o: his wife.
