SUPREME COURT DECISION. (I'HIID raESS ASSOCIATION—IIS EIJJCTKIO MLEQEAPH —COPYEIGHT.) CAPE TOWN, September 19. The complicated case arising' from the dismissal of Professor Duplessis from the theological seminary at Stellonbosch by the Dutch Church Synod, on the grounds that he preached heretical doctrines, has been advanced a stage by the decision of the Supreme Court, which found that plaintiff, having submitted himself to Church tribunals, questions of doctrine »ere outside the jurisdiction of a "Civil Court and the case consequently has been limited to the irregularities of procedure. [Professor Duplessis was dismissed because his teachings were contrary to the Bible. He later instituted proceedings in the Civil Courts for damages for wrongful dismissal.]
