EDUCATION.
THE SMALL SCHOOLS. (press association teleorax.) IN VERC ARG ILL, July 20. The proposed changes in the education system of New Zealand, as suggested in the report of the Commission recently presented to Parliament, were the subject of a discussion at the meeting of the, Southland executive of the Farmers' Union yesterday. The following resolution was carried That this meeting urges upon the. Government the advisability of increasing expenditure in education and asks it to safeguard the interest of the smaller schools.
