(Received May 28th, 10.40 p.m.) BRISBANE, May 28. Tho biennial congress of the Association for the Advancement of Science, has opened. It was announced that the Muller memorial medal for this year bad,been awarded to Sir Douglas Mawson in appreciation of his contribution to geological and geographical science AH local secretaries ■ were re-elected, including Professor C. Coleridge Farr for New Zealand.
