HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Heathcote County Council was held last night. Present: Messrs J. L. Danks (chairman), C. Flavell,- A. G. Williams, J. F. Scott, J. H. Moore, an,d W. Scarff. Be ply to Criticism. The Christchurch City Council wrote in regard to conveniences at Cashmere .Hills, stating that the matter would come before the next meeting of the Sanitary Committee, but the Council could not go on with the matter unless the Tramway Board increases its contribution. The hope was expressed that the Council would see its way to go on with the work. It was decided that Mr J. F. Scott be elected the Council'* representative on the Selwyn Plantations Board, in place of the late .Mr G. Scott. Various matters of detail were dealt with, some considerable time being devoted to electrical matters. It w.as decided that street lamps be erected in Pannell avenue, Avon riding, v Accounts amounting to £3586 9s 2d were passed for payment.
