CANTERBURY PILGRIMS.

The Caaterbu'y Pilgrims' Association are having a giAh»nng at the Art Gallery next Thursday evening. This is a change from the usual cnstom for these gatherings, which generally take place in the afternoon. The function -Bill take the form of an old-time part;-, and lantern view* of old Canterbury will be shown. Exhibits from the society's collection will be on view, and members have been asked to bring anything of historic interest they may possess for exhibition. All that can <io ao have been aflke-d to come in old-f.i.shioned dress, and a number are doing this: and one or two parties are giving exhibition dances. A grand march of all in costume will b-e arranged. The Carter sisters trio are supplying the music, and there will be light refreshments served. A charge of 1* fid each for admission will be made to all members and others to defray expenses.
