LATE MR A. CLOSE.
THE FUNERAL. The funeral of Mr Albert Close took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Sydenham Cemetery, and was one 'of the largest seen in South Brighton for some time. He had been a member of the Cadets, and A Company, sth Cadet Battalion, Canterbury IJegiment, under Captain A. P. Hopkins, V.D., were present. The pall-bearers were Q.M.S. Boyland, Sergeant Carson, Sergeant Parsonage, Corporal Barnett, Corporal Hunt, and Private Henderson. Sergeant Mather, Corporal E. Hulme, C.S.M. Dalling, Privates L. Bacon and L. B. Bacon. Councillors, teachers, all the varied local bodies were represented. Wreaths were sent by mother, father, brothers, and sisters, officers and n.c.o.'s, Sanford and Jones's employees, Sanfnrd and Jones, Mayor and Councillors, New Brighton Council outside staff. Municipal Golf Links, South Brighton Progress League, New Brighton Buffalo Lodge. Mr and Mrs T. McDowell. Mr and Mrs S.
