In view of a reply from the Australian Golf Union, arrangements will be' gone 011 with for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup tournament to be played at Shirley on April 14th to April 17th. No reply lias been received from the Royal and Ancient Club to an enquiry as to whether it could permit the use of steelshaftvd crabs in Now Zealand. The only application so far for the New Zealand championships in 1930 is from Manawstv.. CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUB. Thr official closing: took place yesterday at Shirley, when there was a large attendance of members and visitors. The closing event was a four-ball bogey match. In this Mrs L. C.ark and Mrs T. Cowlishaw, and Mrs L. Cooke and Miss Stevenson were equal with cards of 3 up. The tie waa decided on the best last nine holes of play, and Mrs Clark and Mrs Cowlishaw were declared the winners.
