LATE GOLF.
KIRK-WINDEYER CUP. N.Z. TEAM AT HUTT TOURNAMENT. (*MSS ASBOCIATIOK TXLEGBAM.) WELLINGTON, July 18. The members of the Kirk-Windeyer Cup team, Mesara Sloan Morpeth, T. H. Horton, J. L. Black, and Dr. K. Rosa, competed in two-round etroke play to-day during the qualifying rounds for the Hutt Club Winter Cup Open Tournament. Morpeth did best of the team with 75 and 72 total, 147; J. L. Black, 77 and 77—154; T. H. Horton, 76 and 75—151. Dr. Ross did not break 60 in either round. The team leaves to-morrow lor Australia J. H. Drake, of the Miramar Club, headed the full list with 71 and 75, total, 146. DUNCAN NOT GOING TO AUSTRALIA. (PBKSB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 18. A. D. S. Duncan, who is taking part with members of the Kirk-Windeyer golf team in the opening rounds of the Hutt Clul>'«< tourney to-day, has notified definitely that he is not going to Australia. Black, Morpeth, Horton, and Ross, therefore form the team to attempt to retrieve tue cup this year.
