[Captain Ahrenberg, Sweden's leading aviator, took off from Copenhagen on June 9th for New York, via Greenland. He waß not attempting a record, but hoped to open up a safe northern route of comparatively short hops, believing it would ultimately be the commercial trans-Atlantic route. The aeroplane was forced down at sea and towed to Reykjavik. On June llth Ahrenberg set out for Greenland, but was forced to return to Reykjavik owing to the bad weather.]
