Dr. Hugh Dalton, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, emphasised the Government's intention to continue consultation with the vominions on important questions of foraitrn nolicv and stated that he naa reason to believe that they would not find ft difficult to advance four square S the Dominions along the path of mternational peace, co-operation, and constructive understanding Referring to the Opt.onal Clause he s ld Sat tfie Government were pledged to sign it, and the only question m doubt was now soon they would be ab*eto do so, and what reservations, if any , after consultation with the Dominions, they would attach to their suotaturea.
