He toured Australia and New Zealand in 1924.—Australian Press Association, United Service. [M. Gerardy was aged 52 years, being born in Belgium in 1877. He received his musical training at Verviers Conservatoire and early made a reputation as a distinguished violoncellist. He has been one of the outstanding concert performers for 30 years. He made tours in England and America, his first appearance in England being in Nottingham. He toured New Zealand on three occasions, of which that in 1924 was the last.]

Rear-Admiral Edward Eberle, retired Chief of Naval Operations, died at the age of G4. Admiral Eberle's death resulted from infection which developed from an injury he received over 30 years ago, when he was struck by the tiller of a small baac an.l his eyeglasses were driven into hw right ear.—Australian Press Association.
