NEW SCHOOLS.
ALL OF OPEN-AIR TYPE. New schools in Canterbury are being built only on the open-air principle, the design being changed to suit the particular locality, said Mr G. Fen£n£rton architect to the Canterburv Education Board, to a Press reporter yesterday. The public, he added, did not seem to realise this. Speaking of the block type of open-air school. Mr Penlington ua;d the Minister for Education (Hon. Mr Atmore) had recently inspected a school of this tvpe at Kumara and had been impressed with u.
