The Management Committee of the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association met last evening. Present—Messrs J. E. Fleming (chairman), G. Dnggan, H. Rogers, J. Gray, R. Potter, F. Ward, W. Cowlin, W. Lawson, B. Aris, L. Sanders, A. Price, P. McNamara, J. King, E. King, and J. H. French. On the motion of the chairman an expression of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr J. F. Peake was carried. The New Zealand Suburban Cricket Association asked for information regarding tho arrangements for the Walker Shield tournament, which will be held at Sydenham Park during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The secretary was instructed to forward the necessary information. The City Council wrote regretting that it would bo impossible to erect conveniences in Linwood Park this season. The selectors submitted the following team to play against North Canterbury, at Rangiora, on November 21st and 22nd:—R. Langford, J Gray, W. Sweeney, G. Newton, P. Fronch. D. Cocks, J. Teichert. A. Shand, R. Stammers, E. Watt, and W. McDonnell. Emergencies: A. R. Husband and D. Stokes. Mr J, Gray was appointed manager, and the team will leave by motor at 8.15 each day. returning after the match. The secretary, reported that arrangements for the Walker Shield tournament were well in hand. ' The Veterans' Club will play a telegraph branch team to-morrow at 2 p.m.
