CHRISTCHURCH NORTH.

TO THE EDITOH OF THE PRESS . Sir, you,* or any Labourite,-toll me how I can conscientiously vote for such a "glaringly inconsistent" man as Mr Archer on,., .Wednesday next, when all along he has advocated "one man one job," and.at the present time he has ,got .two jobs and is chasing, a third one ? Further, why does lie expect,'.another man to apologise for an •offending- remark - when' he declines, or refuses, to apologise in his 1 position of •Mayor' and • Chief Magistrate of the City for "damning the Yours,'etc., . ■ . LABOURITE. .TO THE 'EDITOR OF THE PEESS; Sir,—Upon considering the prospects of the three' candidates. for Phristchureh, North, it would appear that, provided „Mr Andrews secures a •reasonable number of votes polled, Mr Archer will be elected. It is regrettable that in an electorate so'directly opposed to' Labour the seat should be lost merely through "a split in the opposition. Mr Archer enjoys too big a following to permit of any weakening of the votes' cast against him, . and it therefore behoves the supporters of ,Mr Andrews to consider that in their desire to help him they may put in a representative of : the Socialist Party. Yours,; etc;, • • . ; . SAFETY FIRST.
