THE GUNS.

RETURNED SOLDIERS' VIEWPOINT. "POLITICAL PROPAGANDA." The Dominion Conference of the R.S.A. upheld tin- stand that the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association took about the removal of the •runs, and were unanimous that war trophies presented to the differen centres should not be used as material for political propaganda. This was the information the P inist church delegates to the conference passed on to members at a social evening last night, and the decision met with hearty approval. "It's a pity that the members of the Christchurch'City Council who were so keen on the removal of the guns "ere not members of the Wellington City Council," commented the president Air G W. Llovd. "Then every time they went to a Council meeting they would have to pass up stairs past two m-chine-guns—and perhaps remove their hats!"
