(r-KZSS ASSOCIATION TSLZORAM.) WELLINGTON, March 12. A motion was carried to-night by the Wellington School Committees' Association that a combined deputation from the School Committees' Association, Educational Institute, Headmasters' Association, and Education Board wait upon the Minister for Education to discuss the position regarding substitute assistant teachers and the staffing of schools. A number of speakers opposed the system of having substitute teachers. It was further decided to call a conference of the School Teachers' Association, Headmasters' Association, and Educational Institute to discuss the question of salaries and staffing to see if a different basis could not bc arrive*', at.
