GUN CLUBS.

■ + SPRINGSTON. The Springston Gun Club held a very successful £SO live pigeon match on Mr 0. N. Powell's paddock on Saturday afternoon. The weather wai ideal, and there was a good attendance of spectators as well as shooterß. The match was one of thirteen birds off handicap distances, and at the end of the thirteenth round four tied with all on, and decided to divide the prize money. The next event was a 10s sweepstake, first miss out, at live pigeons, which drew 23 competitors, and at the end of the fifth round twelve shooters had all on. It was then decided to divide the prize money owing to the shortage of birds. The winners were: R. Tisdall (21yds), F. Frampton (21yds), W. Reid (23yds), E. ,F. Stead (26yds), F. Truscott (22yds), D. McGregor (22yds), J. Miles (21yds), A. N. Turner (26yd«), 0. Jamieson (24yds), R. Moore (21yds), A, Anderson (23yds), H. Grennell (29yds). The concluding event was a 5s sweep of five sparrows, which drew seventeen shooters. Five tied for first place, with all on, and divided the prize money; They were: W. Reid, H. Wright, E. Washbourne, E. F. Stead, and E. Hammond. The secretarial arrangements were carried out by Mr T. J. Kimber, the handicapping and refereeing .being done by Messrs E. H. Rowell and J. F. Moore, assisted by Mr W. R. Donald. Mr W. Bennett officiated at the score-board.
