1 Members of .the St. Albans Burgesses' Association met last night, Mr A. C. "Wilson presiding. With reference to the. Association's complaint regarding the condition of Springfield road, the Town Clerk wrote stating the while the City Council's "Works Committee regretted that it. had no money available for carrying_ out extensive repairs to the road, instructions would be given to have the potholes repaired. It was agreed to ask the City Council to place electric lights at the corners of Trafalgar street and Edgeware road and Francis avenue extension. Following discussion, it was agreed to set up. a committee to • consider what steps should be taken in repairing the footpath on the north side of Bealey avenue between Papanui road and Fitzgerald avenue, from the xence to the channel. "It is the worst footpath in Christchurch," said one member. The committee was given powar to act. I
