PAPANUI LODGE.

The quarterly ' meeting of the Loyal Papsnui, 1.0.0.P., ~M.U.; was held recently, wheo K.G. .Bro. E. JDrapper presided ortr a largo attendance of members. The District Secretary forwarded the agenda paper for the District Conference. The following were elected as delegates to represent the Lodge at the Diatrict Conference: P.G.'s Bros. H. B. Morgan. C. Sitnmondt, and A. Dixon. A letter was received concerning the appointment of . a member aa the Lodge'a representative in connexion with the polls, etc. It was nnsnimonsly decided that P.P.G.M. Bro. H; U, Morgan set as the Lodge representative.

WEDDINGS. 3IOSS—UREN. At the Wesley Church, Fitzgerald avenue, Christchurch, Florence May, eldest daughter of Mrs K. H. Uren audof the late -Mr R. H. Uren, was married to George Henry, only son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Moss. The Rev. E. D. Patcliett was tho officiating clergyman, and Mr L. Ricknrd presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr Arthur Uren, wore a dainty frock of ivory crepe de chine. Her veil was of daintily-embroidered net surmounted by a coronet, and 6he tarried a shower bouquet. She was attended by her sister, Miss Steila Uren, who wore a pretty frock of pale pink orepo de chine and champagne ceorgette, and a black georgette hat. She carried a bouquet of choice flowers. Little Joyce Tempest, of Petone, wearing an embroidered reseda crepo de chine frock and a georgette hat of the same shade, made a dainty littlj flower-girl carrying her basket of flowers. She was accompanied by littlu Neville Callan, of Sumner, dressed in cream. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr T. H. Phipps as host man. On leaving the church, the bride was ? resented with a lucky black cat by eggy Martin. After the ceremony, Mrs Uren received her guests at the Dorothy Tearooms. She wore a grey marocain costmno and a black hat and carried a small bouquet of heliotrope flowers nnd maidenhair fern. The bridegroom's mother wore a navr blue costumo with hat to match, and carried a posy of red carnations and maidenhair fern.

WEDERELL—BEST. The wedding waa solemnised at St. John's Church, Latimer squaro, recently, of Eileen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Best, Fisherton, and Louis C. J. Wederell, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Wederell, Linwood. The Rev. H. Nelson Wright was the officiating minister, and Miss Black presided at tho organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory crepe Jc chine with a panel of lace in front and embroidered train lined with mauve. The veil of white, hand-em-Inoidered tulle was arranged in cap effect with a circlet of orange blossom, and fell to tho hem of her frock. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers with a touch of mauve. Miss Doris Wederell, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. She wore a pretty frock of mauve georgette and cream lace, with a picture hat to match, and carried n bouquet of mauvo and cream flowers. Hie duties of best man were carried out by Mr P. Wederell, brother of the bridegroom. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a lucky horse-shoe by Miss Bessie Harper, cousin of the bride. After the ceremony, a reception was held at Dixieland, when sixty guests were entertained. The bride'a travelling dress was of saxe blue repp with a fawn model coat nnd hat to match. She also wore a beautiful fox fur.
