N.Z. ASSOCIATION. At the quarterly meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, held in Wellington, Mr S. R. Gawith (Wairarapa) presided. Tho report of the Management Committee mentioned that the visit of tho New South Wales team to the Auckland championship meeting in December bad aroused much interest, that the financial result had been satisfactory, and that the team bad proved fine sportsmen and had given tennis In the Dominion a help forward. Arrangements had been made for tho team to g» to Christchurch, Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin, but the tour had finished at Christchurch on January SCnd, at the request of the manager and captain, on account of the team being tired, certain of the members suffering from too moch play. Complaint was voiced by several delegates that tho team had not played on the West Coast, in Hawke's Bsy, or Otsgo. but had engaged in games not on the scheduled list, which had been privately arranged after the tour had ended under the circumstances stated. 1 A lengthy discussion took place, and eventusll* the report was adopted, a motion that the matter be left in the hands of the Management Committee not being pressed. Tt was reported that the Wauganul Association had agreed to adjust its southern boundary in order to allow Bulls Club to join up with Manawatu.
