AUSTRALIA'S TEAM.
PRACTICES RESUMED. <*Y CABLE—PHEBB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTBALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) IX)NDON, April 26. The week-end rain has ceased, and the Australians have been enabled to recommence practice at Lord's. Two matting wickets were available. The team, except for Collinß, Oldfield, and Grimmett, is busy under Bardsley's guidance. . Collins and Grimmett are fit again, but the day is too dull and chilly to tempt them to don flannels. Gregory and Everett are much faster on the matting than they were on the soft turf last week, but neither attempted extreme pace. Mailey, Macartney and Richardson made the ball turn a lot, but all were apt to pitch short.
I Gregory went in for big hitting. Taylor displayed his usual sound methods, but Everett's pace got through his defence occasionally. LAST GAME ARRANGED. (BEUTEB'S TELEGRAMS.) (Received April 28th, 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, April 27. It has been definitely decided that the final fixture of the Australians' tour will be a one-day match at Carlisle on September 16th.
