| COMPULSORY CONFERENCE | OPENS. (BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTBAUAN AND N.SS. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received April 27th, 11.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 27. The compulsory conference of representatives of the colliery owners, miners, and mining engineers, called by the chairman of the Coal Tribunal to discuss the threatened strike, met in camera, and discussed the position for several hours without reaching a 'decision, and adjourned till to-morrow.
