PLUNKET SOCIETY.
NEW BRIGHTON BRANCH. During last week the New Brighton Branch of tho Plunket Society held a series of concerts, dances, and entertainments in Joyland Theatre. On Friday the Commercial Travellers gave on© of their popular entertainments, vocal and instrumantal items being contributed by Miss M. Nelson, Messrs W. B. Crowburst, 0. M. Taylor, and W. A. Drake, and others, while Mr A. Worsley conducted. The week's efforts concluded on Saturday with a children's fancy dress carnival in the afternoon, and a gymnastic display by the North Beacli Gymnastic Club and an exhibition of boxing by pupils of Mr D. Musson. The profits made during the series of entertainments are to be devoted towards the Society's building fund.
