RACE COLLISIONS.

MOTOR-CYCLISTS INJURED. During the first event at the motorcycle races at Eangiora on Saturday, L. C. Monkman, of 52 Matipo street, Riccarton, "collided "with" another competitor, S. J. Batt. at the first bend. Monkman sustained, serious injuries to his -head and right side. He was attended by Drs. T. A.- Will and I. M. Allen, who ordered his removal to the Christchurch Hospital. Monkmaji regained consciousness shortly after the accident happened. Batt was not hurt. Monkman was still in hospital yesterday, but his condition was improved. D. McKenzie, of 59 Manchester street - another-competitor at Rangiora,- re--1 ceived injuries to his foot when he I collided-with i.a fence.
