Harbour Light Theatre. There was a full house at tho Harbour Light Theatre both on Saturday afternoon and evening, when "Learning to Love," starring Constance Talmadge, was screened, together with a/comedy, scenic, and gazette.' An additional attraction at both sessions was tho appearance of Chun Yuen Tai, a Chinese magician who' kept the ' audience amused and entertained tor half an hour with his feats of magic and his clever patter. The picture portion of tho programme will be repeated this evening. Tomorrow, "Lend Me Your Husband," featuring Doris Kenyon, will be shown. Tho supporting programme includes a . Mack . Sennett comedy and the second episode 'of "The Iron Man." On Thursday and Friday next "Quo Vndis?" the wonder picture of the, century, will he .shown. "Quo Vadis" will be preceded on both nights with a prologue by twelve beautiful girls. Pipe Band Concert. There was a good attendance at the' Oddfellows' Hall on Saturday nigfet,. when the Scottish Society's Pipe Band gave a concert. Tho concert consisted of pipe music, songs, dances, and recitations, and the varied programme proved very pleasing to those present. Items wero contributed as follows: — Selection, the Band, under' Pipe-Major J. A. Paterson; international reel, Misses I. Bruce D. Phillipson, B. and J. Craig; song, Mr F. Halo; song. Miss K. Wilkinson; trio, Miss Wilkinson, Messrs T. and F. Hale; piano solo. Miss Eiordon; Seann Triubhais, Miss B. Craig; song, Mr P. Donaldson; song, Miss F. Macpherson; duet, Miss Wilkinson and F. Hale. The accompanists were Miss Mavis Peacock and Mr P. Bryson. Mr Bryson also played for tho dance which followed, Pipor J. McLachlan being M.C. Golf. Miss E. White-Parsons was the winner of tho senior ladies' medal match, and Miss C. Williams of the junior ladies' medal match played at Charteris Bay during the week-end. Miss White-Parsons was also the winner of a handicap imatch for a trophy presented by Mrs H. Ayers. Tennis Club Dance. The annual dance of the Te Whaka Tennis Club was held at the Excelsior Hall on Saturday evening. The arrangements were in the hands of the following committee: — Misses I. Bundy, A. McAuliffe, E. Burns. T. Comer, B. Eenaut, X. Curtis, E. White-Par-P. Plimmer, C. Williams, Messrs F. Hobba, C. Plimmer, C. McKenzie, and Captain J. Scott. Captain Scott was M.CCund music was provided by Miss D.
