The text of the new Treason Sill hafi been published. It is undoubtedly the most drastic measure yet introduced by the Free State Government.
It confers powers to.punish open belliOn by death, and incipient rebellion by long terms of penal servitude. It proclaims as illegal any assembly purporting to be a Parliament, and especially penalises secret societies.
