Medium and low crossbred little more active. Botany section shows no improvement. Present quotations for tope:—i>4's (merino), 5s 2d; 56' a (super half bred), 2s lid; 40 / s prepared (coarse crossbred), Is 4d. EGGS. Demand is chiefly for cheaper selections; best slow. English, Dutch, Danish, French, Irish, South African, 16s to 22s per long 100; Brittanys, Lithuanian, Styrian, Russian, Polish, 12s to 15s 6d per long 100. LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON. October 8. The quantities to be offered at the London wool sales, opening on October 23rd, are B.A.W.K.A.'s stocks, 60,000 bales privately owned, 133,500 bales. THE COMMONWEALTH LOAN. LONDON, October 8. The Commonwealth Loan has been oversubscribed. There were numerous small applicants from all parts of the United Kingdom. Amplications for amounts not exceeding £2OO were allotted in full, but thoja exceeding £2OO will receive about 65 per cent. SYDNEY WOOL SALES.
