i * — ■. A sparrow shoot was held in Mr C. VN. ' Powell's paddock, for a medal presented lay ; tho Colonial Ammunition Company. Tho ! weather conditions were very bad. The match i was one of eleven birds, handicap distancee, iind was won by D. Ryan, who shot all his birds. Tho medal waß presented to the : winner by Mr P. G. Frampton. Tho following were the best scores:—D. Ryan 11, ; P. G. Frampton and S. Bennett 10 each. i Subsequent to the match a number of j sweeps were held, D. Ryan, P. Bennett, F. : Hill, and Jas. Everest dividing the first, I C. Jamieson winning the second, and F. TruscoU tho third and fourth. Mr E. H. Dowell acted as referee, assisted I by Mr C. Jamieso.'i. S • .
