HURUNUI RABBIT TRUSTEES.
At the monthly meeting of the Hurunui Rabbit Trustees there were present—Messrs (i. 0. Kutherford (in the chair), "W. W. Mcßas, "W. J. McMillan, H. T. Little and- J. Munro. Aa the trustees were unable to secure o suitable section in Hawarden, it wi» decided to go on with the contract to remove the Waitohi cottage to Horsley Downs. It was decided to give Mx J. Clark £l6 for the loss of his horse. Owing to the extraordinary amount of repair work that will have to be done during' the present year in consequence of the flood, it was decided to increase the rate to ono half-penny per head en eheep and two pence half-penny per head on cattle. The members of the Board attended ftmeeting in Cheviot, at which the locsU settlers resolved to continue as part of the Board's district. They unanimously turned down a proposal to join in with another suggested Board south of the Hurunui river. At tHe meeting the matter of continuing the old Cheviot station fence as far aa the Hurunui river was brought forward, as well as the suggestion of placing an inspector in the Cheviot district. It was decided to make a thorough inspection of the suggested lino, of fence when the days ore longer. It was decided to send out circulars to the etockownera in the district giving them advice as to the best means of mixing and using phosphorus and strychnine poison.
