MARTIAL LAW AT ISPAHAN. (Bl CABLE—PBE=IS ASSOCIATION—COPTBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND K.Z. CABLN ABSOCIATIPN.) TEHEEAN, July 8. Martial law has been proclaimed in Ispahan. Tlfy proclamation has its origin in the refusal of opium merchants to conform to the Persian Government's regulations ordering all dealings, in drugfe to be conducted under the. supervision of excise officials. As a protest against the regulations the merchants kept the bazaars closed for a fortnight and business is at a standstill. , A number of leading protesters hare jf>een arrested.
