CASUALTIES.
An inquest was held yesterday afternoon concerning the deutU of Kdmund Vague, a man of 75 years of age, residing in Fitzgerald street, St. Albans. The deceased, while at work on a fowlhouse, was noticed to fall, and shortly afterwards died. The medical" evidence was that death was due to a valvular disease of the heart. The Coroner, Mr M. Y. Widdowson, returned a verdict accordingly. At an inquest held at the Aohburton Court House, before Mr James Cow, District Coroner, touching the death, of Walter JJcachen, aged 53, v/lio hfd been found dead in a loit, evidence was; given that the deceased had no linancial worries, He had suffered a good deal from indigestion, lie had been found dead in. a loft, and over a beam there was a strap with a weight at the end. A verdict was returned Chat deceased committed suicide bv hanging himself while suffering pain inwardly. (press association telegram.) " GREYMOUTH, April 26. Balph Myers Snowden, aged sixtyseven, chief engineer of the steamer Ingn, now in port, dropped dead from heart failure on Tuesday evening whilst visiting the signal station at the Tiphead. Myers belonged to Sydney.
