PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.

HOLY TRINITY, AVONSIDE

The annual meeting of parishioners of Holy Trinity, Avonside, was held m the .choc room on Monday evening The v car, the Rev. O. Fitzgerald, presided, and there >.j» a good attendance. The annual statement oi accounts showed leavn" a credit balance of £6 2s 4d. Ihe wardens in their report elated thai the special offertories showed an increase of £47 over uxose of the previous year, while the general offertories were £66 less:; £bv! had been p-iid off the vicara-ire loan, and £6O had been absorbed in interest on Oi3 amount still owing. The drainage loan had been paid oft. The "lady members of the choir had been seat-id in iho chancel. The whole cost of the gowns and trenchers—over £6o—had been raised by tho choir themselves, free of ccst to tho parish. The report and statement of accounts were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: Vicar's Warden, Mr J. W. McGregor; Parishioners' Warden, Mr P. W. Sowden; Vestrymen, Messrs A. M. Saunders, J. W. Smith, J. W. Piper, B. Godfrey, W. Iriucs, R. R. Wardle, Chas. Maddren, J. D. Fonster, R. Jewiss, and Bridman; auditor, Mr '\\. H. Cheesman; Synodsman, Mr W. S. Crichton; Church Council, Mesdames Hunter, Christian, Black. Peverill, Muff, Reaby, Saunders, Russell, Marshaii. Sprosen, and Maddren; delegates to tho Council of Christian Congregations, Mrs Sowden and Messrs B. Godfrey and A. Peverill. On the motion oi Mr J. McGregor, votes of sympathy were passed to Mrs O. W. Russell and Mr A. Saunders in their illness.

The best wishes of the meeting for an eniovable holiday and a safe return were extended to Mr and Mrs J. Spooner, who are leading at the end of the week on a visit to England.
