WORLD PROBLEMS.

QUEST FOR SOLUTION

(BY CABLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.; (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION./

(Received April ,7th, 7.25 p.m.) AVASHINGTON, April IG.

Mr Harding, addressing the Convention of the Daughters of the American Revolution, said:—The destiny of the race and the future of civilisation depends on finding an answer to world problems and on our sincere, generous, and broadminded acceptance of that answer, but until the new paths are well revealed we must hold secure to those which we have inherited. AVe shall not find an answer which will be completely satisfactory to any State, race, or people, but if we pursue the quest with an open mind I believe we shall in the end discover an advantage for the common welfare.
