The Chief Justice, Sir Bobert Stout, leaves Christchurch for Dunedin to-day. A message from Suva says Mr George Freear Graham has been elected Mayor of Suva, and' Mr David Jaffa Solomon Mayor of Levuka, both unanimously. Dr. C. Prendergtet Knight (Wellington) and Mr L\ C. Turnbull. (Timaru) are" staying at -Sue Clarendon Hotel. Members of the South Canterbury Hunt met yesterday in, Timaru, and appointed Mr C. L. Orbell as Master of the Hunt iill the annual meeting in place of tho late Master, Captain Arthur Rhodes. Private cable advice has been received that Dr. Roland Fulton, eldest son of Dr. Fulton, of Dunedin, has been successful in passing the examination for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. A number of Training College students left Christchurch yesterday for the South. Among them were Messrs D. T. Kelly, W. J. Glanville, D. Scott, S. Parr, C. Chamberlain, Gr. Vigis, A. R. Gourlay, W. Shrimpton, and G. Ashton. :
