ADDINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
♦ Mr G. Wear presided over the monthly meeting of the Addington School Committee, when there were present: Messrs 11. Spiller, Greig, G. Fisk, S. J. L. Hewitt, Streoter, Mesdame9 Robb and Pearce. The chairman feelingly referred to the death of j Mr J. Down, late chiarman, and it was do-' cided that o. vote of sympathy be cent to I Mrs Down. It waa also decided to convey' a vote of condolence to the parents of George Bobinson, a pupil of the school, who died on December 4th. The headmaster reported that the attendance during the past four weeks had been very good. Mr G. H. Robertson, who lad been relieving teacher for nearly a year, and had taken a keen interest in the boys' games, had left the school on promotion to Woolston, his place being temporarily filled by Mr Wilson. Miss i Heinzeman had left her piece, being perman-! ; ently filled by Mifs 0. McPherson, successor ! to Miss ffuras. The pupil teachers were coni gratulated on their suocess in the recent ! examinations, the following being successful: I Misses Haywari, Sullivan, Spiller, Walker, 1 Messrs H.-D. Smith. Wealleans. and Edward.
