TECHNICAL COLLEGE.

MEETING OP BOARD ,OF GOVERNORS. The Board of Governors of the Christchureb Technical College met last night. Present—Messrs C. H. Opic (in tha chair), E. H. Andrews, Hon. J. Barr, J. A. Black, T. D. Bong. W. H. Cooper, G. E. Franklin, \V. R. Gnha-gan, W. Jones, S. C. Owen, A. Peverill, H. It. Rusbridge, H. Worrall, and McGregor AVright. Messrs A. E. Smith aud W. V. Mauclilin, honorary examiners in motor engineering, forwarded a report in which thev stated that they hurt visited tho motor -workshop ill Madras street, aiid found tho system was quite satisfactory. It wi\9 suggested that all the garages in Christchurch should bo written to soliciting tlio overhaul of cars. The retort was adopted. Messrs A. J. Benzie and J. W. Baty, honorary examiners in typography, iu reporting to tho meeting, stated that it was regrettable that there was not the interest shown in the class by senior students as in previous years. Congratulations wore extended to tho instructor, Mr Wykes, on his work and to the students. The report was adopted. The report of the director, Dr D. E. Hansen, stated that Miss D. R. Robertson, who had been a member of the staff for seven had resigned, having been appointed to a' responsible position in the Wellington Technical College. Miss Todhunter, formerly a senior student, had been appointed domestic science mistress to, the Stratford Technical College. It was also reported that Thomas Page, a second-year agricultural student, had gained the Kitchener Scholarship, entitling the winner to an allowance of £SO for two years, and prooaoly longer, ■while attending the Canterbury Agricultural College at Lincoln, The report was adopted (
