The Assistant-Secretary of the Treasury has admitted that since the fall of the Kerensky Government in Russia, and the assumption of control by the Bolsheviks, _ Ambassador Bakhmetieff, representative fin Washington of the Czarist and, later, of the Kerensky Government, withdrew 59,000,C00 dois. from the United States Treasury, this sum being provided as a Russian credit, by tho Liberty Loan Acts, as a war measure. The manner in which Bakhmetieff utilised the money has not been revealed. The matter threatens to become a scandal. . »
