ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Christ-church Division of the St. John Ambulance- Bripaae xouk S>laco in the Brigade- Koorus last ex-en-ing, Superintendent E. G. Gray presiding over a. trood attendance of members. Tho Superintendent, in his annual report, stated that tho niombcrshic of tho division had " increased by seven. During the year members had given first aia in 375 cases — some privatelv, and others on -public duly. At the annual examination, which was conducted by Dr. F. J. Borrio, every member hail passed. Arrangements were being macio to form a certificate clase for the probar tioj : er3, of whom there were seven. Iho superintendent thanked members tor the loyal support they had given him since hjs appointment. Mr W. \V. McKinney, Assistant Commissioner, complimented members of the division on their efficiency in first aid. In this respect they surpassed every other division in tho Christchurch sub-district. Th-eir oho weakness was luck of discipline. Tho report was adopted, together with, the-balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £7 is 4d. The election of officers resulted as fculoxvs:— Sscrctary, Sergt. Gilbert; treasurer, Sergt. Middle-ton; .inspector of stores, ilr W. J. Clemens. Sergeant Gilbert was granted three months' leave of absence, Ssrgt. W. Reynolds being elected secretary pro tem. Members decided to resume parades on January 12th.
