ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.

MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly meeting of tho coiincil o£ the ftorth Canterbury Acclimatisation Society was held last night. Present—Messrs It. H. Godby (chairman), E. M. Caffin, L. A. Shrand, F. W.. 'Woodward, H. Anderson, J. Sutherland, B. J. Lavory, W. T. Billons, J. F. Pc-ake. W. Deans, F. Sloorhouse, and Dr. C. M. Anderson. Tho finance statement showed that there was a credit talanco of £231 8s 3d. Angling licenses for the month totalled £55 ios, and deer licenses end deposits £38 Iβ.
