Rearguard was first away, but Ouimet Gcon ran to the front and passing the eland the first time was leading from M:s; Edith, Rearguard, Legacy, Louie Drift, Letitia, arid Dillonwwood. Going down the back strctch Rearguard lost lm placo, and Legacy and Mips Edith were four lengths behind the leader. Ouimet led into the straight, and though strongly challenged by Legacy, he had enough left t-o win by two lengths from Legacy, who waa -six lengths in front of Dillonwood. Our Chum began smartly and led past the stand from Retreat, Proudspring, Idris, and Admiral Hal. Retreat and Our Chum drew out going down* the back rtrctch. At tho tanks Frank Tracoy took third place, and drew up to Our Chum at the entrance to the straight, but had no chanco with Retreat, who won comfortably by a length. Jean Logan still travelling slowly ed down tho back stretch and into the straight, with Lady Swithin a length away and Doraldina in behind tho pair. G-oing down the bnek the noxt time the pace livened up, but Doraldina was still in anything but a good position. At th* entrance to the straight Lndv Swithin went past Jean Logan and Doraldina threw out a challenge. A great race to tho post found the pair on even terms at the judge's box. Cromstall and Granger were called off for starting before time. Vera K. and ilaria Temped were the early leaders, and going past the stand were out in front, with Silver Shoo running next. Passing tho stand the sccond timo Miss Rolfo followed Marie Tempest, and sho and Dandy Chimes got on terms with Silver Shoo along tho back, Marie Tempest being well beaten. Bandy Chimes led into tho straight, and won nicely by sis lengths, whilo Silver Shoo defeated Miss Rolfo for second place by a length. Times—lm 393, 4m 4i 4-Ss, 4m 41s. Bon Patch wr.s in front pnssinsr the stand, with Paul Huon, Theseus, and Billy Parole following 1 in that order, and Beta Peter trotting l in faultless style. This was the order for a. round, at the end of which Beta Peter occuHed third place. The scratch mare assumed the lead fir:- furlongs from homo, land won comfortably by a length.
