VISCOUNT JELLICOE
1 LORD FISHER'S TRIBUTE. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and. N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, October 11. Lord Fisher, in the course of his new book of memoirs, to be published in November, amongst interesting naval disclosures says that Viscount Jelli-coe'-s appointment as Commander-in-Chief led to an outbreak of mutinous threats amongst distinguished officers. "I've an immense regard for Jellicoe," he says. "He is a horn Commander of the Fleet. Indeed, he is incomparable. Ho lias all the Nelsonic attributes except one—he is totally wanting in the gift of insubordination. Alas Ihe is saturated with discipline, wherefore he allowed himself to be cajoled away from his great post of duty in order to prop up. an effete Administration."
